What Hassan Does
Hassan is a boxing instructor at LDG. He has a boxing class that runs three times a week. During Hassan’s boxing class you will work on your fitness, technique, sparring and also pad work which helps with weight loss, strength and self defense.
About Hassan
Hassan started martial arts training (Kung Fu) with his brother Ehsan Shafiq in 2003. When he was 16 he joined the peacock’s gym in canning town where he began kickboxing training with Chris Magnish. In 2004 he competed in many amateur and full contact fights where he met Khalid. He then joined the LDG Team and trained with Khalid Ismail.
Hassan started competing in many martial arts events. In 2006 he had his first pro kickboxing fight. In November 2006 he won a silver medal at Sanshou British championship.
He has won two silver medals in WAKO british kickboxing championship in 2006 and 2007, in 2008 he won a gold medal in WAKO kickboxing championship.
At the end of 2008 He joined Repton Boxing. He had 26 amateur fights which he won 22 of and lost 4. He has also boxed abroad twice in Nigeria, Ireland and also competed in senior ABA twice and won the North east division championship.
He turned pro last year with promoter Steve Goodwin who was also Yassine Elmachi’s promoter. His pro debut was meant to be in July last year but due to some issues he couldn’t compete.
